Greetings CV Family;

New Year, New Things!! That is the quote of the season. It’s a new year and 2005 is finding CV in a new mode, with a new attitude and a new vision. As with most publications, it’s always good to shake it up every now and again; and now is as good a time as any.

In the coming year CV will continue to bring you a fresh perspective on Caribbean entertainment and we will introduce more focus on Caribbean lifestyles in Urban America. Look for more fashion, home décor, financial planning and travel caught in between our pages. Your feedback is always welcome. Remember this is your magazine.

It is Winter 2005 and there is so much going on. Bob Marley’s 60th birthday celebration is taking center stage in Jamaica and Ethiopia in February. It is also the 80th anniversary of Black History Month. And March brings with it Women’s History Month. It’s a great time to learn more about your past and the contributions people of colour have made throughout history. Mother Nature dealt hard blows around the world and relief efforts are underway in flood torn Guyana and tsunami torn Asia, but let’s not forget that the tsunami ravaged the fishing villages of Somalia (on Africa’s east coast) as well. It’s time for us as humanity to remember to do our part. Volunteer your time and donate your money to those who are suffering worldwide.

Trinidad and Tobago will soon be kicking off the famous Carnival celebration, and we will have full coverage on our website at www.caribbeanvibeonline.com. Come by the site to see news, event reviews, and check out our event calendar where you can add your own events for other visitors to see.

It’s a new season for CV and a new season for the CV family! We are expecting great things this year and with God’s blessing and your continued support, we will reach every goal we’ve set. Let’s make it happen together!
