Beres Hammond
and Marcia Griffiths Shine on Love Has
No Boundaries Tour
2005
(March, 15 2005-New York) With a combined
60+ years in the music business,
and two brand new releases on VP Records,
reggae soul crooner Beres
Hammond, and the first lady of reggae,
Marcia Griffiths embark on a national
tour
across the US. In a continuation of the
highly successful "For the Love of
It" Tour in 2004, the pair have once
again decided to grace the stages of
North America. Since last year's tour,
Beres Hammond has released his
critically acclaimed "Love Has No
Boundaries" and Marcia Griffiths
is set
to release her new album "Shining
Time". As two of the most respected
voices
in Jamaica, Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths
continue to remain at the
top of the reggae music industry. The
Love Has No Boundaries Tour 2005 kicks
off May 26th in Jacksonville, Florida
and continues across the country
until late July.
Grammy nominated Beres Hammond, known
for hits like "Putting up
Resistance", "They Gonna Talk",
and "Rockaway", continues to
add to his repertoire with
tracks like "There for You",
"Pride and Joy", and "All
for Me", from his
recent release "Love Has No Boundaries"
(2004, VP Records). This legendary
crooner with a seemingly endless supply
of creative energy and enthusiasm
during his performances will undoubtedly
thrill audiences with the Harmony
House family, including R&B singer
Jimmy Cozier, who is set to perform as
the show opener.
Marcia Griffiths, who is a member of
the I-Three's along with Judy Mowatt
and Rita Marley, had an international
hit with The Electric Boogie Slide
that has become an anthem for synchronized
line dances across the world.
Her new album "Shining Time"
(2005, VP Records) has the essential sound
from Marcia Griffiths that fans have come
to know and love. With feature tracks
"Bring Back the Love", "Back
in the Days", and "Focusing
Time" featuring
none other than Beres Hammond, Marcia
along with executive producer Hopeton
Lindo have really given something for
the fans to enjoy. The set also
includes a tribute to Bob Marley on his
60th birthday, "Crazy Baldheads".
In addition to collaborating on Focusing
Time, previous songs like "Live
On", featured on the recent VP Records
retrospective "Beres Hammond the
Ultimate Collection-Can't Stop a Man",
show the long standing relationship
between these legendary reggae artists.
This definitive duo will
undoubtedly enlighten crowds across the
United States with some of their tremendous
catalog of hits, and highly anticipated
duets.
