Hello CVIBE Family-
Summer is now officially over and so
is carnival season. Unless of course if
you live in Miami. For many Floridians,
and good share of New Yorkers, Miami Carnival
is the best way to keep the summer fun
alive. From Carnival Warm-Up in September
straight through to its end in mid October,
revelry is relocating to the south. Check
out our Upcoming Events to get a brief
look at some of the bashment taking place
down there.
Dancehall music’s chart topper
Sean Paul has crossed the border and is
conquering all of North America; his album
Dutty Rock is now number one in Canada!
P. Diddy is still making moves, he recently
signed a deal to open a 3,500 square foot,
two-story Sean John retail store on New
York's ritzy Fifth Avenue. Opening in
the spring of 2004, this will be the flag
ship store for Sean John. Sean Combs is
constantly redefining the phrase hip hop
mogul!!
This month some of our favorite celebrities
have proven that it’s not about
how much money you make, it’s what
you do with it. Much love to Mary J. Blige
who recently donated $25,000 to the two
Harlem–based AIDS charities, Bailey
House and North General Hospital AIDS
Center, at the new M.A.C. store in Harlem.
Mary J. has been a long time spokesperson
for The M.A.C AIDS Fund and continues
to be outspoken on issues of AIDS research
and AIDS in Africa. Much respect goes
to Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft,
who recently donated $51.2 million to
help the New York City school system create
67 smaller high schools in overcrowded,
low income neighborhoods. It is the largest
donation to any school system---ever.
Remember, October is Breast Cancer Awareness
Month so ladies, and the men who love
them, handle your business. Early detection
saves lives!
Thanks for stopping by our website,
as you cruised through cyberspace. We
appreciate the well wishes from those
of you who signed into our guestbook.
If you liked it last month, wait till
you see the new exciting graphics and
a photo gallery full of concert shots
and celebs.
One Love.
