Verna V. Arthur, a native of the Island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, current president of Club St. Vincent Inc. has been a tireless worker within the Caribbean community for over 20 years. A recipient of the New York Urban League Community Service Award Verna has served as the chairperson for the highly successful SVG Cultural Symposium, as foundation member of the Vincentian J’ Overt band in New York and the multi-year award winning Nelson Block Mas Band in SVG.

Her greatest satisfaction however comes from helping seniors. The New York Urban League, Henry Street Settlement Companion Program, and Harlem Elders Week Jubilee committee have all benefited greatly from her expertise. She sits on many interagency councils, district cabinets & community advisory boards.

Professionally, Verna is a legal assistant with one of New York’s top law firms and is the Manhattan Community Outreach Director with the New York City Department for the Aging (DFTA).
