Hello CVIBE Family-
It’s November, the days are getting
shorter the nights longer and the holidays
are around the corner. Everyone is back
from Miami and preparing for hibernation.
Well, the weather may be cooling off,
but don’t forget to check our website
for some hot entertainment that is worth
a venture out into the cool fall nights.
Reggae is back on the road this month.
There will be New York area concerts featuring
the greats like Beres Hammond, Sizzla,
Buju Banton, Junior Kelly, and more. Check
out our web links for more information.
Black music recently received major validation
from the mainstream culture. For the first
time in the history of the Billboard's
charts, the top ten songs on the Billboards
Top 100 chart are all by Urban artists.
With the exception of the number 1 song,
Beyonce's "Baby Boy" which features
Sean Paul, the other 9 songs are by rappers.
It seems that Wyclef Jean has mad a full
recovery from his recent collapse due
to exhaustion and dehydration. He was
recently heard cracking jokes and stirring
controversy at the Museum of Radio and
Broadcasting with Dahved Levy of WBLS-FM.
Finally, this month kicks off the 2003
holiday season with Thanksgiving right
around the corner. For those of you who
don’t do Turkey Day there is still
a reason to celebrate. National Family
Week begins on November 23rd, so talk
to your parents, connect with your kids,
relax with your mate, and celebrate your
family!
‘Til Next Time.
