Story - Beenie Man |
When they called Beenie
Man, The Doctor, did anyone expect that
he would one day be called upon to heal
himself? Just a few short months ago Anthony
Moses Davis had a brush with death that
served as a reminder of his purpose in
life. On a dark night in January, on the
way from Kingston to Mandeville, a Hummer
H2 flipped over and slid off a cliff.
Inside that military–grade vehicle
which had been reduced to crushed metal
was one of Jamaica’s most popular
Dancehall artists. That he survived the
crash was amazing, that he walked away
with only a punctured lung, facial lacerations,
and a broken nose is nothing short of
a miracle. |

Prince
"Genius" |
Who can believe it’s
been 20 years since we first heard Prince
sing “Purple Rain/ Purple Rain/”?
Captivated movie audiences swayed their
arms to the strains of his bass guitar,
mesmerized by his stage presence as if
they were in a concert hall! Yes, it’s
been twenty years since “the artist”
earned the unofficial title of Music Genius.

Next Up - Rayvon |
Whenever the name Rayvon
is mentioned, the person usually thought
of next is Shaggy. Rayvon and Shaggy.
These two names seem to be synonymous
with one another. As friends and musical
sparring partners, Rayvon and Shaggy have
an undeniable chemistry. Their voices
compliment each other: Rayvon's silky,
smooth and seemingly effortless crooning,
adds just the right flava for Shaggy's
toasting. |
