It is a rarity when you encounter one so articulate, accomplished and successful, handsome and physically appealing- being single. Yet despite the absurdity of the notion, further investigations found this bit of “wonderfully-astounding” news to be true. You see- the name Conroy Allison is like a mythical character - the “larger than life kind.” It is mentioned with a kind of reverence out of respect for a man who stands tall in the community in which he works.

Conroy has been on top of his game in the Caribbean radio world as the number one Account Executive with WLIB 1190 am for the past twelve years and currently holds the title Senior Account Executive WLIB/WBLS. Bitten by the radio bug as a teenager he was determined to make his career in radio and quite by chance found himself hosting what was to later become a very successful reggae program on WFUV Fordham University Radio in the 70’s. This was the launching pad he needed.

He has successfully ventured into promoting as well and is the force behind calendar events such as the Annual Merritone Reunion Picnic in Pinecrest, Connecticut, as well as various other club events and boat rides. His voice has been one of his greatest assets and is behind numerous commercials for companies like Air Jamaica, VP Records, Royal Caribbean Bakery & Nutrament.

Outside of work and career this affable gentleman is one cool, well-defined and mellow character. Conroy describes himself as a passionate, warm and sensual being who enjoys the company of an equally engaging woman. “I have a lot to offer,” he says, “having been married before I know how to indulge a woman’s need for attention and sensitivity. There is nothing more desirous to me than making my mate happy as the returns are immeasurable.”

Expect a degree of sophistication in his world, even though he hasn’t lost touch with the ordinary everyday pleasures of life. He holds a passion for the theatre, travel, jazz, and fine dining complimented by the best wines. He is an avid collector of all genres of music.

In his quest for love Conroy is cognizant of the fact that it’s a process you can’t hurry…. it’s a patient path that requires much thought and involvement, and he’s up to the challenge.
