forgot who i was there for a minute.
forgot that i am a daughter of the blessed.
a granddaughter of champions.
a great-grand of conquerors.
a sibling of queens.
a descendant of greatness.

and because i forgot for a second,
because i did not know for an hour,
i lost my way.
became complacent.
ill-willed.
lazy. lost.
unprepared.

afraid. imagine that:
a daughter of the blessed,
a granddaughter of champions,
a great-grand of conquerors,
a sibling of queens.
a descendant of greatness –
afraid. how silly of me.
