Happy Anniversary to you all! It’s been one year and one wild ride! Since our inaugural issue last August we have brought you exclusive interviews, important news and entertaining articles about Caribbean American culture. We sprinkled in a touch of urban flava for good measure and I think the result has been a unique experience. I want to take the time to thank the readers and advertisers that have been with us since the beginning and welcome those who may be finding us for the first time. Looking toward our second year I speak for the staff in saying that it’s a continued blessing to be welcomed into your lives. We look forward to many more years of serving you.

The month of August will showcase some of the Caribbean’s best outdoor concerts with artists like Cham, Luciano, Sizzla, Bounty Killer, Cobra, Tanya Stephens, Bunji Garlin, KC Jockey, Ky-enie and more. This month we look forward to seeing you out at Carifest on the 1st , and Irie Jamboree as they unveil their new four day format on the 19th. There is so much to see, from the Marley’s Roots Rock Reggae Festival on the 10th to the Roots Yam Jerk Festival on the 15th not to mention the endless trail of boat rides and parties already planned to celebrate Labor Day.
