AIR JAMAICA EASES TICKET CHANGE
RESTRICTIONS
DUE TO HURRICANE IVAN
MIAMI – (September 9, 2004) –
With Hurricane Ivan having already impacted
five of the 12 Caribbean destinations
served by Air Jamaica and the storm now
threatening the airline’s home island
of Jamaica, the carrier has eased ticket
change restrictions for passengers with
confirmed reservations who have yet to
travel, as well as those already in-transit.
• Passengers with confirmed reservations
for travel slated to begin during the
September 9 to 13, 2004 period may defer
their trips without penalty. Air Jamaica
will issue travel vouchers equal to the
total value of the original booking for
flights to any Air Jamaica destination.
Vouchers may be redeemed for travel to
be completed up to one (1) year from the
date the voucher is issued. Passengers
have 21 days from the original date of
travel to request vouchers.
• Passengers already in-transit
during the September 9 to 13, 2004 period
may defer their return trips without penalty
as well. This also applies to in-transit
passengers with tickets slated to expire
within the September 9 to 13, 2004 period.
In-transit passengers can choose to complete
their travel by September 17, 2004.
Passengers are advised to keep a record
of their Air Jamaica locator codes to
facilitate the processing of changes.
