Story - Machel Montano |
It’s Carnival 2004
in Trinidad and scene is jovial. The party
is going on everywhere. The word on the
street is that Xtatik Ltd. had done it
again! They came out bigger, better, stronger
and full of the usual surprises. This
year’s theme was the Road Marching
Band!! Drums and horns carried the sounds
of Soca music through the crowds right
alongside the steel pans and guitars.
The tempo sent audiences in the tens of
thousands into a frenzy of movement that
was only surpassed by the raucous sexuality
of the stage show. And who was responsible
for all of this uninhibited celebration
of culture and country? None other than
front man Machel Montano, a 22 year veteran
performer with a humble spirit, a willing
mind, and a wild imagination! |

is not the only secret being kept when
it comes to underwear that’s fun
to wear? What if you found out about Downtown

Personalities - On Track Disco
 |
Fifteen years ago four
DJ’s with a purpose came together
to create On Track Productions. The year
1989 the founding members Jason “Rankin
1”, Forrest “Nice N Easy”,
Vic “Management”, and Jah
Will “Skeleton” were in high
school at the time. They settled on the
very appropriate name because every member
of the production team competed in Track
and Field. The name also represented what
these four brothers were all about; having
a positive influence on their peers. Even
at that early stage in life the On Track
team determined that they would show urban
youths how to party and have fun while
staying on the right track. |

Next Up - Chief |
Chief is an Antiguan
born Reggae DJ living in Brooklyn, New
York. He has been doing reggae music for
nearly seven years. At the age of twenty
years old he's not just a DJ, he also
writes, produces, and arranges his own
music. He's such a talented writer that
if some of the biggest artists in reggae
music needed a wicked tune to mash up
the dancehall they could actually come
to Chief. By appearing on many television
shows like I.F.-TV and Soundwave Television
he has gained a fan base that's starving
to hear more from the young talented DJ.
